Why does my warranty plan read "under $250"?
Some warranties carry a dollar value on them. This means that your product's purchase price, excluding tax, delivery and accessories is below the listed price on the warranty. It's simply a classification based on the price of purchase of the product under warranty.

Where do I buy a Spectrum warranty?
Spectrum warranties can be purchased along with your product at participating retail and internet affiliates.

What kind of warranties does Spectrum sell?
Spectrum Warranties offers replacement warranties. This is generally a guarantee that allows you to purchase a product free from defects for up to a designated duration of time. Your warranty will activate 31 days after the item's purchase date. This warranty virtually guarantees that if your newly purchased product fails, you will be protected from the high costs of replacement.

What do I do if I need help with my warranty?
If for any reason you need help with our service or our warranties, contact us and we will be more than happy to help you resolve your issue.

Do I need to register my warranty?
Yes, we recommend registering your plan within 30 days of purchase. To register your plan, visit our warranty registration page and follow the simple registration form.

Do I need to provide proof of purchase?
Yes, in order to file a claim, we require that a copy of your item's original invoice/receipt of sale (showing the date and value) be on file with us. This is done when you register your warranty.

Can I transfer my warranty to another person?
Yes, all plans are transferable. Please email sw.cs@spectrumwarranties.com or call 708-840-7002 for further assistance in transferring your plan. Please note: A transfer fee of $25.00 will apply to all warranty transfers.

Can I renew my Spectrum warranty?
If the retail or internet affiliate allows for it, you may purchase an additional Spectrum warranty through the affiliate, provided they are still a client of Spectrum Warranties.

Are there any hidden costs?
No, all authorized claims will cover 100% of your defective or faulty item.

When does my coverage start?
Your coverage begins 31 days after purchase and lasts for the duration of the warranty from this date forward. (Example: A 1-year warranty purchased on January 1, 2021 would activate on February 1, 2021 and expire on February 1, 2022.)

What does my plan cover?
With regards to replacement plans, your entire product is covered. While the item may no longer be available for replacement from the retail or internet affiliate from which you purchased the item, we are committed to making sure you are reimbursed stress free. Claims resulting from misuse, abuse, or negligence are not covered.

How do I file a claim?
Fill out the claim submission form or call 708-840-7002 to speak to a customer service representative.

Do I need to ship my defective item back to have my claim approved?
Depending on the price of the item or the type of item purchased, we may require you to ship the item to us to verify that the defects are not a result of misuse, abuse, or negligence. But don't worry, we will provide a prepaid shipping label or box to have your item shipped to our returns center.

What happens to my item after my claim is approved?
Because we cover 100% of the cost of replacement, you do not get the defective item back after it's sent to our returns center. If the product is still sold by the affiliate from which you made the original purchase, you can place an order for a new one directly through that affiliate. If not, you will be fully reimbursed for the original purchase price of your item.

Spectrum Warranties ("we" or "our") is committed to advising you of the right to your privacy, and strives to provide a safe and secure user experience. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store and use personal information provided by you on the SpectrumWarranties.com website and associated services ("Services".) By accessing and using our website or the Services, you explicitly accept, without limitation or qualification, the collection, use and transfer of the personal information provided by you in the manner described in this Privacy Policy. Please read this Policy carefully, as it affects your rights and liabilities under the law. If you disagree with the way we collect and process personal information, please do not use this website.

1. Information We Collect.

We collect general types of information about you when you visit and use our website; examples include personal information, demographic information, behavioral information, and indirect information. Sometimes we collect combinations of these types of information.

a) Personally Identifiable Information or "PII" is information that can be used to identify you or any other individual to whom the information may relate. PII is only collected when you contact us. b) Demographic information is information that may or may not be unique to you in the sense that it refers to selected population characteristics. Such information may include, but is not limited to, zip code, telephone number(s) (including mobile phone number(s) and carriers), birth date, gender, salary range, education and marital status, occupation, industry of employment, personal and online interests. This may be collected by us at any time during your use of the website or the Services, but if associated with your name or other unique identifiers it will always be treated as PII.

c) Behavioral information is information pertaining to how you use our website, the areas of our website that you visit, what services you access, and information about your computer hardware and software, including your IP address, geographic location, browser preference, operating system type, domain names, times that you access the internet, and other websites you have visited. d) Web technology information is information we automatically collect from you when you visit our website. This includes information collected from the use of cookies, Web beacons or JavaScript.

No personally identifiable information gathered will be sold or rented to third parties.

2. No Information Collected from Children.

We will never knowingly collect any Personal Information from children under the age of 13. While it is not technically possible to prevent any given user of whatever age from viewing a public website, we do not solicit business from, nor accept offers to transact business with, minors. Only those 18 years of age or older are allowed to use the Services. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have collected Personal Information about a child under the age of 13, that information will be immediately deleted from its database. Because we do not collect such information, we have no such information to use or to disclose to third parties.

3. How We Use Information Collected.

We use the information we collect to resolve any questions or issues you bring to our attention; analyze the effectiveness of our website and marketing; or to carry out various business functions. Examples of how that information is used include:

5. Collection and Use of Technology Information.

a) Cookies.

We and our service providers use "cookies" to collect and analyze information about your browsing on our website. The data stored in our cookies allows us to understand how you found our website and what pages you click on during your visit. We use cookies to improve our marketing and website and your experience on our website. A cookie is a small data file stored by your web browser on your computer. When you click on our website, our cookies allow our services providers to recognize you by an identification number in the cookie. You may accept or reject cookies through your web browser settings. However, rejecting cookies may disable certain features of our website or the Services.

b) Web Beacons.

We endeavor to safeguard and protect your information. When you submit personal information to us, it is protected both online and offline. We have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of personal information under our control. The servers in which we store your information are kept in a secure physical environment. The servers have industry standard firewalls. Access to such servers is password protected and access by our employees is limited. Currently, we use Secure Socket Layer software ("SSL") to protect data and to secure any transactions. Although we take commercially reasonable technological precautions to protect your personal information, no information transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure; therefore, we cannot and do not warrant that your information will be absolutely secure.
